Pick Your Poison Productions began as an online production company during the 2020 pandemic. Sarah Durnesque and co-founder, Ariel de Ment, launched PYP as a way to keep creatively active and generate joyful connection between audience and actors during a difficult time. They produced a variety theater classics as drinking games over livestream for over a year.

Following a hiatus from 2021-2022, Sarah relaunched PYP as a solo endeavor and began producing shows in partnership with The Roguelike Tavern, which has become our home venue. PYP's Pub Sing and the Roguelike Rumbles premiered in June of 2022 and have been regular events at the Roguelike Tavern ever since. Both shows are performed live and streamed simultaneously to Twitch (with VOD on YouTube).

PYP has since branched further into the TTRPG sphere creating new online streams - like the RumbleVentures - and various charity streams, new hybrid shows like Dreadful - a horror TTRPG originally created for the Midsummer Scream Convention, and live events - like the Dungeon Descents & ULTIMATEs (pay to play D&D events) and Dungeons & Dreamgirls (a D&D burlesque show co-produced with Vita de Void).
